He's been on good behavior, as well.

Vicodin. Plain warning on Vicodin. Don't drive.
Guilty as charged!

This article was dated in 2009. Same same.
"According to reports, when he was initially taken to hospital his wife handed police two empty pill bottles that had contained the powerful painkiller Vicodin and the sleeping pill Ambien. He was listed as a suspected "overdose" on admission to hospital".

Stupid mistake. He didn't hurt anybody. Others of his stature have done far worse and survived. Most it seems would rather have Tiger nailed to a cross.
I believe many have a problem dealing with his high degree of early success.
Jeff Gordon to a lesser extent was treated similarly in his sport. His behavior was nearly flawless at the height of success. People hated him none the less. Tiger faces a tougher battle. He's been a bad boy also. He'll mostly be judged not by his talent and success in golf, but by the mistakes he's made as an ordinary human.

Only because he was LUCKY. It could have been a complete and senseless tragedy had he passed out WHILE driving...they found him ASLEEP with the car running in the middle of the road.
He's lucky he didn't slam head-on into a car full of kids...worst case...or a tree.

I agree 100%. This could have been a horrific tragedy. Thank God it wasn't and hopefully Tiger gets the message about self medicating. I wish him the best.

The label on Vicodin should say "don't take. Very nasty stuff that will f-ck you up".

I was dead wrong.
He loves to get high with pain pills and ' ambien'. Not 'benzos'.
wiki(the trusted all-knowing truth source we can all quote w/ confidence) says: "Its hypnotic effects are similar to those of the benzodiazepine class of drugs." and "It is a short-acting nonbenzodiazepine compound of the imidazopyridine class[5] that increases the activity of GABA, an inhibitory neurotransmitter, by binding to GABAA receptors at the same location as benzodiazepines.[6] It is molecularly distinct from the classical benzodiazepine molecule and is classified as an imidazopyridine. Flumazenil, a benzodiazepine receptor antagonist, which is used for benzodiazepine overdose, can also reverse zolpidem's sedative/hypnotic and memory-impairing effects.[7][8]"
^^It was an innocent mistake. I wasn't trying to intentionally distort the comment I made about Woods, but I had mixed up slightly different medications that he abused.

During his prime he was way better than Nicklaus or Palmer during theirs. The competition also was far and away better.
|
Tiger was physically superior to the golfers of the Nicklaus, Palmer era. Which has carried over to the new generation of golfers.
Tiger's era also played with much better equipment (clubs / balls)

As with most drugs, the problem is that it affects different people, differently. This might cause the wrong people to underestimate its effects. I know I have a low tolerance for it and wouldn't dare drive a car under the influence.
I passed out HOURS after taking a second pill. The dentist who prescribed it for my root canal said I should have eaten something before taking it. "And you didn't tell me that before, because...?"
