Don't know Peter Aiello but I'm guessing he's accomplished more than you. Always loved anonymous posters flippantly insulting people (without any real cause) who are just trying to do their job. If you're going to insult someone, have the guts to list your name.

By the way, Dave Rodman might be the best race caller in the country.

Thanks for the info, Malik. I think Frank would make an outstanding addition to Santa Anita. New him well when he did a stint at The Downs at Santa Fe in the '90s. Also a great ambassador for racing.

Am I allowed to disagree with that, or do I have to give my name and social security number to you first?

AfleetAlex may not even really be insulting, or making any comment at all about Aiello. Maybe he's just that excited to hear Rodman at Gulfstream. Maybe he'd make the exact same comment if Durkin were the regular Gulfstream caller and was now being covered by Rodman while being away for a bit.
Maybe.

Actually, what I hear is that Santa Anita is actually doing a worldwide search for someone younger. They want another Trevor (Trevor was quite young when he was hired by Oak Tree straight out of South Africa in 1983). Frank M and Michael Wrona (either of whom would be fine IMO; the job isn't that important) aren't really in the running for the permanent position unless they don't find what they are looking for.

Too many piercings to be a race caller.

Sounds like someone might want to tell Frank and Michael they've been lied too.
The funniest part is the "world wide search part."
Vic, you're in the fraternity. Is their a cave full of race callers somewhere in the Alps we've never heard about? Is there some brilliant 19 year-old calling Mongolian Harness Racing that we haven't heard?

You've heard of Australia, right? (Wrona et al.) South Africa? (Denman) United Kingdom? Because between those three and North America, the world is pretty much covered.
