Thank you.
I have been saying all meeting the video sucks.
One backstretch views of dirt races, instead of a a "12 o'clock" angle, we get about a 2 o'clock angle, which make the margins among theleaders hard to discern, And the views keep changing too much.
And many races are showing far too low the farturn, so that horse's head barely show above the rail.
All in all amature hour.
Rememer GP West, the final season, the guy standing ontop of a vam filmig with his cell phone?
He was better.

There’s a lot of issues that need to be fixed there right now. The stewards, the cameras, the timing.

This is more than that. I knew something didn't look right with the Test inquiry yesterday, but for whatever reason it never occurred to me it wasn't the right camera. It goes back to being up front about things, which is hard to get in this game. Why not tell people before the races? Why does a guy sitting in his boxers in his basement (just kidding, Pat) have to discover it?

The stretch camera panning the dirt course always makes it seem the horses are running slower than they actually are.

SAw that too.
Yesterday there was a 1 3/16ths mile turf race where the opening three fractions were way off. The times were reported just after the race was declared official.
My guess is the track is having issues with the electronic timing devices.
Good thing they went to 5 day race weeks. Two days to perform maintenance and repairs.

Today the timer tripped early, likely by an outrider. I don't know what happened on Saturday. It wasn't an easily identifiable error.

Yet Imbriale called the 26 quarter time just as though it was legit, and then the next quarter went in 22. Durkin would have picked up on that immediately and commented to disregard the fractional time.
Sitting in my home in Kentucky I knew that it was incorrect.

A lot of tracks around the country have issues with their camera work , but I’ve also noticed they could make a few improvements with the head on replays at Saratoga.
