FLibre OO Calc question

There is a display of several statistical funtions on the bottom of the spreadsheet, ie, coount, average, sum, etc, that displays result you get from selecting column cells. It is a very handy, almost neccesary feature.

BUT.....it is not always there. Usually, it shows up when I start a new spreadsheet, but after a bit, it goes away. Sometimes, it comes back when I reopen the file later, but not always, and in many files, it is gone forever.

My questions...

1. what is it called? Trying to look for web help, but finding nadda
2. Is there a detting to turn it off/on that I might be accidently changing?

Anyone eles experiencing this?

Thanks!

I'm basing my answer off of libreoffice.

Go into "view" and it's likely called something along the lines of "status bar." If you can see the status bar on the bottom of the screen... right click on it in that area and you should be able to add more features... like sum/count/max/min.

The entire bar along the bottom of the window is the "Status Bar." It can be enabled/disabled in the "View" menu. I don't know what that specific portion of the Status Bar is called.

Try a "right-click" on that area of the Status Bar to the left of the "zoom slider." You should be able to select the document stats that appear.

EDIT: @Michael beat me to it!

Thanks, guys.
When I select View>Status Bar, it only shows or hides the bar, no options. Whe I lose the stats, the bar is stillalways active.
I can right click to select what stats show when it is visible, but not when it is gone.

Some of my file show it, most don't.

Very annoying program.
