New York approves gun law requiring buyers to provide social media handles
The new law will require people trying to purchase a handgun license to hand over a list of social media accounts they have maintained over the last three years, so officials can verify their "character and conduct."
According to the measure, applicants must prove they have "the essential character, temperament and judgment necessary to be entrusted with a weapon and to use it only in a manner that does not endanger oneself and others."
They will be subject to periodic background checks and will have to turn over social media accounts and contact information for adults living in their household.

Stuck on Must Prove to get a Constitutionally Protected Right... which the Court just reaffirmed. Dipshits just don't seem to learn.

So now along with wanting to violate a person's 2nd... that are going to add 4th and 14th as well as 1st Amendment into the mix.

So how long before this sees a court action filed...? July 5th would be my guess... what say you?

This is the same State that will let a five time gun related felon walk out free no bail or jail or out right dismiss charges. All while nailing any Law abiding citizens to the ground who wishes to protect themselves.

They know what they are doing. They want to go through the courts every seven years and re-write a new law every seven years and deny the citizenry 7 years at a time.

The only thing that might speed it up is if a wile Judge somewhere along the way convinces the Supreme Court to take the case on an emergency basis to “preserve the rights of NY citizens” Or some such chicanery or legalese.

But considering the entire NY court system, a liberal Mecca, wherein they would never allow average Joe to protect himself, I don’t see that happening.
