just subtract 1 from the decimal odds to get the fractional odds

3-1 decimal is 2-1 fractional.

only limited data (naturally since it just started) but fixed odds providing better prices almost 70% of the time.

I'd imagine that depends upon how early you bet.

I'd love to see a comparison between Fixed Odds as the horses load the gate and the final odds.

THAT'S what really matters.

look at how they report they in ireland.

https://www.irishracing.com/result?r...d=202205211410

EVERY movement of the fixed odds

full transparency.

thats what i would love to see in the united states.

fixed odds SP should be reported in the DRF charts.

That is what it will take here.
Plus, a huge contribution to the tracks themselves.

I just don't see Exchanges working here.
People love their exotics too much.
Just can't see how tri's and supers can be handled on an exchange - for the $5 bettor.

The whale-like operations would, of course, handle it easily.

“we got 16s on #2”

imagine if all the tourist money bet on the 2 at 5 or 6-1

i posted my ticket on twitter. who wants 69 bucks on the PM when they could
i collected 170. thats a c note difference.

if you want to see my ticket, type in #fixedodds on twitter.

when i bet i was easily the oldest player i saw. most in their 30s and 40s

id hand every young person a 20 buck voucher to use entering the track.

basically fixed odds on horse racing is just glorified sports betting. people bet the rangers to win (lots of dough). why cant they do it for the 6th at monmouth.

you just have to market it correctly.

Thanks for your posts. I’ve been at Monmouth for all of the live cards this year. Fixed odds is straightforward enough. I do wish they would express the prices comparably. The math isn’t hard but it isn’t necessary to do the conversions. They have been handing out $5 vouchers to get you to try. Also, I did have a winner in a race In which there was a gate scratch in a small field. I think my bet was returning 10-1 per the ticket and I ended up getting 8-1 after adjustment.

The crowds overall did seem on the younger side especially this past Sunday. Nice to see the place festive again with coolers back and once the weather got nicer last weekend
