this is also on a message board called "city-data.com. all states and cities are there. i view the Las Vegas site each day. Sams is 3-2 BJ. Boulder station is nice. we get a lot of comps from the station casinos and boyd. but we live here. and there is a site called " Las Vegas Advisor" that has a lot of deals and coupons.

I have no doubt that this is all true; however, I know that the OP premise is true. Vegas has changed a lot and is all about the money - bigger, better, grander. It takes a lot of money to pay for all of that. The restaurants cost more. They even charge for parking at many places these days.

If anyone ever goes to the old, beat-up Circus Circus, there is still a fun horse racing game on the 2nd floor where you roll a ball into different holes. The horse moves depending on what color the ball rolls in.
The last time I was there the game cost $2.

Went to Sams Town's book room a couple of weekends ago. It was nice and had separate windows for the horse players.

No just went there for the weekend. Had free rooms at Sams Town, so I used them. Going to be moving to Bullhead, and a lot of places there don't take bets on certain tracks. Once William Hill took over, they eliminated some of the tracks.

they removed horse race betting at the sports book at "arizona charlies" right up the street from Sams town. did you watch the show in the middle of the court yard??
