any stories about this guy?

sounds like he was apparently not only a winner, but a whale?

How about any of you guys - Play sports in terms some of the relatively recent offerings?

I wonder whether it would be worth the time for me to wager on some games. Before my health turned, baseball and basketball was a heavy OCD focus for me. I spent thousands of hours on the craft and was deep into strategy and coaching. Football was secondary, but had carryover interest/knowledge in football and football strategy, and was a big fan.

If the same climate had been there when I decided to get into horseplaying, I may have chosen sports betting instead.

It's possible that may be able to analyze relatively well (watching games, reading box scores and looking for inneficiencies and overrated teams and darkhorse underdogs, and apply the same market principles from parimutuel wagering over to a betting line.

A sign-up bonus type of thing could be a one-and-done for a value bet?

Talk of limits and being barred for being a winner scares me, as does the learning curve. Mostly, I'm happy with horseracing and I'm an immersive player; I don't have time for other handicapping after the horses. I don't think it would be worth it. I don't watch sports (even playoffs, superbowl) often.

Is it who I think it is??

Claimed to be a 'former' big time sports bettor.

whatever that means...

So, he's already on 'tilt', and he's ready to unload a large sum of money if you believe him.

our guy is ready to UNLOAD

Allegedly he gets there early, and he saw guys continually walking into the book to bet large sums of cash.

Ridiculous conspiracy theories that it was runners, teams, Beards, what have you.

Long story short; the line had to be moved and this former PA member didn't adapt.
Short end of the stick... He took the worst of it.
By his own admission he bet anyway into a worse line.

Adapt or die.
