Saw him live at CCFL Dome - along with Clapton on the show.
Just a great night of music!

Charlie Daniels and Ennio Morricone on the same day - not exactly the day the music died, but still. RIP.

Great patriot. I spoke to him a few times on social media. He really knew his music. Great musician. He answered questions from fans very often.

Wow great show to be at. I taped it off the radio and listened to it all the time back then. Instrumental Freebird. Million Mile reflections.

RIP
Fine musician.
Not my favorite type of music, but there's no denying real talent.
In 1987, I was at the US Olympic Festival in Raleigh Durham.
CD and his band played twice during that event.
Once at the opening ceremony, then another time at a BBQ
for a smaller crowd. They rocked both times

Two things we can credit Charlie Daniels and others who have left us recently, being the best entertainer one can be and living life to the fullest.
RIP Charles Edward Daniels

I went to see Sha Na Na at the Shaeffer Music festival in Aug. 1973 in Central Park.
Nobody knew who the opening act Charlie Daniels was. By the end of the set nobody would forget who Charlie Daniels was. To this day.
RIP Charlie. You will forever be etched in our memories.
