It is? How so? If you go somewhere, and you think it's a shithole, that's prejudice? Yeah, I guess so...most people don't like shitholes.

Oh, the country happens to NOT be majority-white, so that automatically makes it a racist statement?

Are you nuts?

Thank you for contributing to the death of conversation and debate.

Now you can't express an opinion lest you be called a racist simply for visiting a place that you think is a shithole...especially if it's a non-majority-white country.

So all non-white countries are automatically glorious, beautiful places that everybody should be rushing to visit and make their home.

Will you be moving to Somalia any time soon mostpost? Any relatives of yours moving there as well? After all, it's a non-white country so it must be glorious and beautiful, despite being one of ten most poorest nations in the world. Fantastic!

I think the issue with the "shithole" countries comment is that it was said while also lamenting not getting more immigrants from Scandanavia.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump referred to Haiti and African nations as "shithole countries" during a meeting with a bipartisan group of senators at the White House, a Democratic aide briefed on Thursday's meeting told NBC News.
Hint:Somalia is an African nation.
Somalia is a country located in the Horn of Africa. It is bordered by Ethiopia to the west, Djibouti to the northwest, the Gulf of Aden to the north, the Somali Sea and Guardafui Channel to the east, and Kenya to the southwest.

So what was Trump saying? Did he forget his moronic nomenclature?

Hey, to the two Trump-obsessed dudes directly above me...we aren't talking about what Trump said...we're talking about what delayjf said regarding Somalia and his claim that he has visited there. And after writing that, mostpost calling him out for being prejudiced for saying that about Somalia.

But you can't argue that, so you jump back into what Trump said, as if that matters with what I am writing about...hint...it doesn't.

So a factual observation regarding the state of Somalia is racist??
Thank you for making my point.

Everything out of the left is all about race. If Obama had told neo-Nazi who had immigrated here from Germany and were now citizen to "go back to where you came from, would that be racist? Telling someone to love America or leave it is a figure of speech that addresses differences in American values and patriotism and the American hating crap being voiced from the squad, it has nothing to do with skin color.

I would say that the left are racist, because the policies you have advocated and interacted have keep minorities down since the dawn of the great society.

Americans are sick and tired of the lefts tactics of labeling everyone they disagree with as racist. This is one of the reasons Trump got elected in the first place. But, keep it up, run on the platform of reparations and open borders, and see how far you get.

It is something to think about, just do not see the need to give some a leg up in forums. I do not view a few anti semitic freshmen as protected class from attacks accurately marking them as also anti American.

That was then. This is now. Byrd couldn’t be elected dog catcher in WV in 2019 as a Democrat.

Things change PA over time.

It’s the way things always have been in the United States.

You have changed with the times, right. Or are you still stuck in the 90s

Stop with the anti-American bullshit.

They're ****ing Americans.

Say they're socialist and that's what makes them unAmerican and I'll raise you Teddy, FDR, and Ike.

I think you just missed what I said or I said it poorly.

Shitholes exist. I've been to several of them in Central America. I've been to them in Detroit, Cincinatti and my home town.

What he said is fine in reference to his personal experience. Mosty is wrong there.

What Trump also said is wrong because he literally compared Scandanavia/Shithole, he's also President and has to work with those governments, its also offensive.

It wasn't that long ago. Obama and Hillary sung his praises when he died...so it wasn't that long ago.

EVERYONE sang his praises when he died. Why did they do that? Because there was a helluva lot to Byrd's character and career that went beyond his early participation in the KKK, something he renounced decades before his death and deeply regretted:

1993 interview:

Q: What has been your biggest mistake and your biggest success?

A: Well, it’s easy to state what has been my biggest mistake. The greatest mistake I ever made was joining the Ku Klux Klan. And I’ve said that many times. But one cannot erase what he has done. He can only change his ways and his thoughts. That was an albatross around my neck that I will always wear. You will read it in my obituary that I was a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Obama also addressed this at his funeral:

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/...und-of-fiddles

In his eulogy, President Barack Obama recalled how Byrd was orphaned as an infant and raised by an aunt in deep, coal-country poverty to become the longest-serving member of Congress, casting 19,000 votes and never losing an election.

“Today we remember the path he climbed to such extraordinary peaks,” Obama said. “Transported to Washington, his heart remained here, in the place that shaped him with the people he loved. His heart belonged to you. Making life better here was his only agenda.”

The nation’s first black president also recalled Byrd’s 10 years in the Ku Klux Klan, from 1942 to 1952. Without mentioning the KKK by name, Obama recalled how Byrd apologized personally to him during their initial meeting.

“We know there were things he said, things he did, that he came to regret,” Obama said. “I remember talking about that the first time I visited with him. He said, ‘There were things I regretted in my youth. You may know that.’ I said, ‘None of us are absent some regrets, Senator. That’s why we enjoy and seek the grace of God.’ … Robert Byrd possessed that quintessential American quality — the capacity to change, to learn, to listen, to be made more perfect.”

Of course all this is immaterial to you, all you care about is..

Democrat! Grand Wizard! Gotcha!!

Not realizing that the gotcha at this point is on you..

But did Byrd use the key word DISAVOW? Curious minds want to know. That's the only word that counts.

Not only did he join the KKK, he was one of their higher ups. An EXALTED CYCLOPS no less. Sounds like a pretty powerful position to me...ever wonder just how dirty his hands got? Nah...you never wonder such things. You just concentrate on Trump tweets.

Meanwhile, Byrd is cool with you and Obama because he said his DECADE in the Klan was a "mistake."

OOPSIES!

LMAO

Prejudice is judging a person on the group he or she belongs to. What delayjf
Is doing there is belittling Ilhan Omar because of the country she comes from.

Even though Omar’s name was not mentioned that is exactly what was going on there.

And then we have you, whining about how everyone is so mean to all the white countries. And everyone is talking about how wonderful black countries are. Except that is simply not true.

One of the characteristics of conservatives is that they have false feelings of persecution. They think the world is against them. You are prime proof of that.
