Did not see the race - but listening to Seth Merrow on the Capitol OTB feed on RTN (an excellent choice for watching a day's races from the major tracks, BTW) and he was commenting on it.
He'll talk about DQ situations in terms of percentages, and will give benefit of the doubt to stewards quite often. But he saw the GP 3rd as a 98%-2% in favor of the DQ, and was shocked.

It may well have been the worst non-DQ I've ever seen that had to come down
Then again it is Florida

I have zero faith in the stewards, absolutely cost a placing there.

I was expecting a DQ. I rated it a 8/10 to come down live, and 7/10 after the replay. The only reason it wasn't higher was a possible argument that the would not have held onto 2nd position without the interference.

Holy smokes! Did not affect me, but Fairgrounds race 5, the came slightly over and brushes a fading , and he is taken down! The was gasping for air inside of the 16th pole.
After what I saw yesterday at GP, how is this horse penalized?
Zero faith in stewards to do the right thiing.

Geroux has been taken down twice today.
Stews calling it tight at FG.

Between the race at GP yesterday & this one at FG today I don't think I ever felt so close to 100% for what decisions would be made & had the opposite outcome. Scary time to be a bettor out there, stewards are just making it up as they go along.

Frustrating for anyone on the as it would have won anyway, but it was a clear DQ under the rules as the would have finished second without the interference.

April 29th
Woodbine race 7
Would love if a few would watch the replay and give their thoughts on the change of order. Of course I had the 6.

Thought it was 50/50 myself. was nearly clear of when he moved across him, but I think the way accelerated in the last hundred yards swung it the way of the DQ decision.

I thought the 6 was clear. The 5 didn't pull up at all, just had to angle out a bit more than he would have liked. I personally don't think there was enough there for a DQ. I may be a bit bias since I had the 6 but I have witnessed far worse stay up.

Home cooking was in play with that DQ. Tyler Conner and Saffie Joseph will get no benefit of the doubt against the local Woodbine connections in a close DQ call.

I didn't want to be the one who said what you said because I would have sounded like a sore loser since my horse was the one taken down. That being said, I couldn't agree with you more.
