The Last Dance

Anyone watching this on ESPN?

10 part series about the Bulls final season with Jackson and Jordan and the turmoil behind it all, with a lot of history.

Now, I am not a basket ball fan by any stretch, pretty much hate the game, but the series is very interesting. All I remember of Jordan in the big years was seeing highlights and thinking "That SOB can freaking fly!"

Great series! Perfect timing to air it.

If you gave me an empty gym, a 20 foot ladder and 3 tries, I couldn't put a golf ball through the net.

Never watched it but people do say it is interesting. Hearing about how MJ gambled and did gamble on pretty much everything like closest to the wall bet. Interesting man.

I thought this would be just another MJ "rah-rah" fluff-piece...but I was dead wrong. Very interesting stuff, some of which I had never heard of (or had forgotten)...even though I lived there during the entire era. Looking forward to two more episodes today.

The constant doubling back in time tells me not even MJ can fill 10 hours of content. And one clear indication that he had approval power is the incessant one-note chorus from his old team mates about what a winner he is.

example- interviewer: Did Michael's gambling issues ever impact the locker room?.... old team mate: What you have to realize is that MJ is a winner.

example- Does Michael's outing of rampant cocaine use amongst fellow bulls anger you? ...old team mate: No, you have to remember that the man wanted to win at all costs.

The whole thing began to bore me after the first two installments.

Except for that incredible highlight reel embedded a few episodes back.

How could ANYONE NOT consider him the goat???????

I liked Kobe's comment about fans wanting to see a one on one with him and Michael.

"What you're getting from me, I got from him."

But did you ever notice how careful Kobe was over the years to not acknowledge MJ as the greatest? I always suspected Kobe actually believed he had usurped Jordan's crown.

He might have suspected it...but he wouldn't dare say it out loud.

He should have thought it at the time, that is a good trait to have. But he'd have been wrong.

After Jordan left the Bulls, I lost all interest in the NBA.

Waiting to be able to stream it.

I think it’s out there already somewhere. Disney+ ?

Only way to legally really stream NBA is via League Pass. You get the local broadcasts (like I get OKC) on some streaming services like YoutubeTV. You get the National Broadcasts if you have those channels, ABC/ESPN/TNT.

Of course you can pretty much find anything you want to stream these days for free if you want to go that route.

I’m sorry, I should have been more clear.

I want to watch “The Last Dance” streaming

I can’t get past 10 minutes in the games today. Too many 3’s and dunks for me. The traveling rule is non existent.

Yeah, you can stream the doc with ESPN+. Highly recommend it. MJ's drive and competitiveness is insane and hard to comprehend

Interesting segment on VSIN yesterday and Mitch and Paulie Howard talked to Mike North for his take on The Last Dance. North was to Chicago sports radio what Mike and the Mad Dog were to New York.

https://www.vsin.com/audio-highlight...2-2020-Hour-2/

I do agree with North that the documentary really let Reinsdorf off the hook easy. He could've kept that team together for another season or two.

These last 2 minutes from episode 7 were excellent. Hard not to admire MJ's focus on winning no matter what.

For context, they had showed a few clips of former teammates saying that MJ was pretty ruthless to play/practice with and that he wasn't a nice guy when it came to being on the team. Interviewer asked if that bothered him.
