U.S Confirmed cases 1,500,148
Deaths 89,498
89,498 divided by 1,500,148 Or 5.97%
Times say 60% and not 70% of 330 million, or 11,812,570 people at risk of dying experimenting witth herd immunity

I like your numbers ….
100% of the 330 million are at risk of dying
and over 99% will be dead sometime in the next 90 years

As more coronavirus antibody tests roll out across the globe, it's becoming increasingly clear that no place is anywhere near the distant, bright horizon of "herd immunity."
Populations achieve that benchmark when enough people become infected and recover — thereby developing pathogen-fighting antibodies — to prevent the virus from spreading. For COVID-19, experts estimate the threshold for herd immunity may be as high as 70% of the population.
So far, the first wave of infections has left more than 300,000 people dead worldwide and devastated the global economy. But even the hardest-hit countries are finding that scarcely 10% of their populations have walked away with antibodies. Tens of thousands are dead, but only 5% of the population may be immune. In the US, where nearly 85,000 people have died, the prospects for mass immunity are no better. In April, a study in Santa Clara County, California, estimated that between 2.5% and 4.2% of residents there had antibodies. A study of Los Angeles County made a similar estimate: 2.8% to 5.6% "seroprevalence" (the term for the percentage of people who have antibodies in their blood).
That doesn't bode well for other parts of the US, which haven't yet faced devastating waves of infections like the one that killed more than 27,500 people in New York.

hcap is free to lock himself down for the rest of his days...
I've been saying for years that this world has become a paradise for shut ins...now with COVID-19, it's nirvana.

Clean your glasses.
11,812,570 people are a far cry from 330,000,000.
We will not know how many people are or have been infected for quite a while.
However using confirmed deaths divided by confirmed cases gives an educated guess as far as herd immunity is considered. Percentages for US deaths and worldwide deaths, are roughly equal
6.72% and 6.00%.
Even if 1/4 of that percentage is accurate, in the US almost 3 million are at risk of dying.

I hope Bill can come up with a self-inoculation and self-microchipping home gift set...just in time for the holiday season.
Should be a bestseller.

I have stayed away from this loonie tune conspiracy theory. Just checking. Are you referring to this...
YERS, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has committed millions of dollars to research treatments and vaccines for COVID-19 as the pandemic continues to spread across the globe.
IN ORDER TO:
Bill Gates — along with a coalition dubbed "ID 2020" — seeks to "microchip" the world population using a COVID-19 vaccine.
FALSE

This absurd conspiracy is remarkably similar to those of years ago. Hasn't boxcar brought it up yet?....
There are no reputable biblical scholar or theologian who would endorse that the COVID-19 quarantine or a vaccine is related to the “mark of the beast”.
Or 666
In 1989, Nancy and Ronald Reagan, when moving to their home in the Bel-Air section of Los Angeles after the 1988 election, had its address—666 St. Cloud Road—changed to 668 St. Cloud Road.
In 2003, U.S. Route 666 in New Mexico was changed to U.S. Route 491. A New Mexico spokesperson stated, "The devil's out of here, and we say goodbye and good riddance."
Some women expressed concern about giving birth on 6 June 2006 (6/6/06)
Mow it is Bill Gates and micro chipping

The difference is in POV Harry. You see the ship as wayward and the captain as drunk because he isn't steering toward your preferred land mass. However, there are many others that prefer a different land mass and he is expertly steering the ship there. So this is all a matter of perspective.
