Del Mar Wed 9-4-13

Picks for Wednesday. Playing my top pick $10WP and rolling the pick 3's for the buck.

Race -1 The . Serious speed from the outside post here for Puype. 18% off the brief break for this trainer. Bullet workouts on the 11th and 24th signals readiness to throw a big one today. Possible pick 5 single? 6-2-3

Race -2 The . Drops in class for a 14% Baffert move & 35% off the beaten favorite loss last out. Works have been less than Baffert like but if she's right I think she gets there today. 3-5-4

Race -3 The . Mario rides here for O'Neil instead of riding the Reddam runner. Gets Lasix for the 1st time an 11% move and goes routing for the 1st time today, another 12% trainer move. 1-4-8

Race -4 The I've landed here in a field chalk full of 1st time starters. Love the 5F workout Aug 23rd over the surface here. Trainer hits at 18% with 1st timers. Bred to be quick early n often. Dam has thrown 5 winners from 5 starters. 7-2 feels good here. 6-5-7

Race -5 The . The Pirate's Bounty Stakes. Been off for over a year but if he's right he smokes this field. Baffert at 27% knows how to get one ready off the long layoff. Workouts have been solid clear back to July. Know him early.

Race -6 The . 3rd time off the layoff for Koriner who hits at 12% with his turf starters. Positive jockey switch to Garcia today the kicker for me. 8-1 on the line a good price here. 5-11-6

Race -7 The . Hasn't raced in nearly 2 years but has been working up a storm in the mornings. Bullet workout Aug 30th going 5F is solid for this level. Lures Blanc off the 6 for the return to racing. Price should be good. 12-6-7

Race -8 The . The Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity. Playing against Albert's Hope on top in here and taking the Baffert runner for the win. Easy Mdn winner last out is bred to get better as they run longer. The stretch out to 7F is just what the doctor ordered at 9-2 on the line. 2-5-9

Race -9 The . Loses Mario to the Reddam runner but gets P. Val in the saddle today so not much of a change there. Wide open race here and at 8-1 I'll take my shot here as I think a longshot wins this. 8-1-3

Race -10 The . 3rd time off the layoff for Mitchell a 26% trainer move. Add another 24% when going long the 1st time. 35% with the 2 sprints to a route pattern. And for a bonus, 16% 1st grass try. Yes. I like this as my best bet at 9-2 on the line. 7-2-11

Good Luck N Good Racing From The KidCapper!!!

No Reddam?

IMHO the Indexical is the best 2 year old in the country.

Thanks Kidcapper, it was a great Saratoga and Del Mar. I didn't play Del Mar as much this year though, but Saratoga was a blast. Now a breather for me before some fall meet play. Like the way you write up why you pick the horses you do.
