Cruz says it’s time for McConnell to step down as GOP leader

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), pointing to what he called the mismanagement of a border security and Ukraine funding package, said Tuesday it’s time for Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to step down as the Senate GOP leader.

McConnell should step down all the way and resign. Republicans should not have vegetables holding office like the Democrats do, they should be better than that. As bad as he is McConnell is 10x more coherent than Biden.

Agreed, Senator Kennedy is a guy who might get more left wing support than anyone previously if he ran for President in 2028.

Is stepping down in November

He did achieve many good things like helping put in conservatives in SCOTUS and keeping out Garland.

Yes, but like all powerful people, they don't recognize until it's too late when they've lost a step or two.
