Would these be 20 million hermits who never interact with society and have never conducted any official business in the public or private sector? I wonder how these people survive in this 21st century era?

I call BS on all of it. If an ID was stopping someone from receiving benefits of any kind. Food stamps, welfare, cashing in a lotto ticket, buying booze, cashing a check, etc. That person would have an ID card if they had to walk through broken glass. But it is impossible to get one to place your vote. Crock of crap.

100% agree if that was the case an ID is require for everyday life. But you and I know the only ones with no US ID are those here undocumented and ineligible to vote in the first place.
Hell but it's a dog whistle used by mostly white liberals that claim Minorities are to slow witted to obtain ID. That is racist to the core and proven wrong... but they still blow it loud.

Yeah...we're supposed to believe that 20 million people perpetually live under their rocks and never come out to see the light of day and conduct business in the real world. None of them even have a checking account with which to pay their bills!

It's hilarious.
They are making movies on Amazon Prime about all the ways minorities, the very old, the very young, and whomever else might vote DEMOCRAT, have had their VOTING RIGHTS SURPRESSED by big, bad, WHITE, Republicans....
So THAT KIND of VOTER FRAUD is apparently LIVE AND WELL AND RUNNING RAMPANT in America.
But the kind of VOTER FRAUD we talk about in this thread...those very same Democrats will tell you it NEVER HAPPENS...is IMPOSSIBLE TO HAPPEN...etc....etc....
All part of the grand CUCKING of America.

It's further proof that widespread mail in voting is not the way to go.
All those ballots tossed are voters who have been DISENFRANCHISED.
And I KNOW you hate to see disenfranchised voters.

But what is the alternative.
Have people stand on line for hours with masks on and social distancing?

If it were up to me, this is what we'd do:
Open up polling locations for in-person voting and keep them open for some pre-announced time period.
Because of the pandemic make every effort to offer a handful of outdoor polling locations in every district.
Imo, spacing it out over a few weeks would be long enough to give every registered voter who wants to vote the chance to do so in person without having to wait in long lines or risk being in a crowded space for an extended period.
And of course those who feel themselves at risk because of health reasons or advanced age would be able to undergo the request process and vote by mail (same as always.)
