Really like Normandy with the crowd here and think he's going to blow them up but making a value play on My Lute(5) to win/place at 9-1.Saver exactas with contenders..I didn.t see that happenning.Good luck!

$272.40 to win...wow.
And, despite his 135/1 price, there were three horses with a bigger price than him.
EDIT- Check out what this guy wrote two days beforehand...people should've listened to him! http://www.fairgroundsracecourse.com...ching-longshot

At least the horses that got beat don't get to fall back on their graded winnings to get them into the Derby. Now they have to race again and earn their way in.

Quick thoughts:
I've Struck a Nerve, Code West, and Normandy Invasion are all still legit... the rest...

Palace Malice can't improve off his first route race? I would at least give him a few more chances.

Based on the race (how it was run and the blanket finish), I don't think the horses from this race will have any impact on the Derby.

Last year in the Risen Star there was a blanket finish.Strange.Thi seemed like a more competitive field. It was run fairly oddly IMO,without getting knee deep.

Sure he could improve but have any real TC impact going forward? I don't think so. Like Menifee said the race was a blanket finish which usually means it wasn't all that great. It was a weird evenly ran race.
CW: Turned back multiple challenges and if the winner had moved a path or two closer would likely have won the race.
ISAN: Ran into a fair pace from further back than PM and was the winner.
NI: Was toast after 100 yards, had to go wide, and still finished 1 1/2 back, again chasing a fair pace? Probably the best effort of the bunch.
