That brick laying robot does not replace as many humans as one thinks. First someone has to produce the components that make up the robot, the robot needs to be assembled. On the job site the robot needs to be programmed and maintained. I have programmed and ran computer controlled machines like that robot for over 30 years. It is a lot more complex and time consuming to operate them than one thinks. I would believe they won't be economical or quicker than humans on most brick laying jobs. On many jobs programming the robot would take longer than a human would to lay the bricks. The robot will be most cost effective building long walls, maybe like the one between the USA and Mexico.
