I just heard an interview with Jena Antonucci on the scratch.

That woman is the best thing to happen to racing in awhile. She's bright, thoughtful, well spoken and really cares.

If Repole wants to make an immediate positive impact, he'd share the wealth and send her some of his better prospects. We need her in front of the camera as a major part of the sport.

Amazing the tone on social media when it's not a Repole horse scratching and/or retiring prior to a big race.

Yes, she is classy.

Arcangelo going to Lane's End. TVG did a puff piece today on Flightline, same breeding outfit, who has covered 152 mares already. Looking forward to more runners with six race careers.

I agree about Jena Antonucci seeming like a good person and a good horseman.

The video of her cheering home Arcangelo in the Belmont stretch run was one of the most positive and beneficial optics for US horse racing of 2023. (I'd probably rank that video, and the Cody's Wish stories/optics as far and away the two most positive things of 2023 for US racing).

We need a ton of this stuff. And when these things happen organically and beautifully we need to pump this imagery out in our public image.

All the wolves, all of the invasive negativity signalers who want to cancel the game or profit from negativity... One of the most effective ways to mitigate these enemies, is by championing the great stories like Jena's Belmont moment, or the feel-good/heartbreaking emotional story of Cody Dorman and Cody's Wish.

It's going to take a ton of other stuff too, like regular caring friendly horseman and horsewomen with horses in caring interactions... like family stuff... rags-to-riches stories, etc... etc... That's just the tip of the iceberg of the socially comfortable, open-discussion part.

There's the PETA/cullt wolves for one. Their leadership. The donation and revenue they farm. The members who they cultivate... They want to cancel the game. Just like with other animals, they will 'rescue' the horses, and as is the case with their economics will then euthanize 85% of the racehorses and stallions that they rescued.
They want to prey on, extort, and profit from the sport, - short of their cancel-kill goals.
Then there's a bunch of other perverse fools/trolls who want to profit by or simply attention/virtue-signal from any negativity. Some of these uglies are even positioned as or in portrayal of themselves as journalists or social-influencers.
Can be simple things from a harsh reality... can be things that are flawed in the game... these wolves and trolls do not care about specifics, but they see horse racing as a vulnerable target to prey on and attempt to exploit.

We need to revel/celebrate/echo-repeat-broadcasts in the positive organic heroic optics. We also need to simply promote the ordinary everydaypositive and organic optics.
We need to plan/create/fabricate some positive optics.
That's just part of the nice aspects, of some of the work that will be necessary to mitigate the wolves and leaches.

but as far as saying what Repole should 'do' or 'spend' his money on??
That's his business. I'm not to going to suggest that Repole specifically even be the one to follow the suggestions I just laid out as necessary for the sport as a whole.
I'm definitely NOT going to say some shit where he should start buying/sending horses to a specific person. I'm not competent at those specific things, and that's his business.
If he follows through and gets his hands dirty a little in trying to help right the game, for that alone I'll be grateful.
