Schultz is off to a good start. Lizzie Warren said he was a billionaire out of touch with the American people. This from a woman who is out of touch with the planet Earth.
Schultz put her in her place rather easily. PJ Media reported this, and summed up the big problem with Schultz as a candidate.
Quote:
The former Starbucks CEO has attacked the Democratic Party for running too far to the Left, and even bringing the destructive ideology of socialism to America. Howard Schultz is too liberal for the Republican Party and, sadly, too pro-American for the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party will be on life support before the end of 2019....Too much infighting and cannibalizing will be the undoing of any core that will hold the Party together.....The GOP is far stronger and will unite like never before.

Gallup. As of October 2017, Gallup polling found that 31% of Americans identified as Democrat, 24% identified as Republican, and 42% as Independent.

Independents, or those who claim to be, decide national elections in the modern era. And they tend to be more fickle than those who identify as Dem or GOP.
Trump won office because he got the edge in independent votes. Some of those votes were for Trump, some were against Hillary. He is losing that edge because he is not delivering on his campaign promises, for those that care. While the Dems are weak now, split in many different directions on issues, they will unite on one issue: stop Trump.
If Schultz does run any kind of campaign, I suspect he will take more votes away from Trump than from whoever the Dems run.

I'm an Indy, and what you say is true.....But, I don't like the Dems chances until 2024, and only if they reunite under a true leader...Don't see it happening.

My theory on Independents fall into 4 categories, keeping in mind party affiliation is public record in most (all?) states.
1) Democrats in red states
2) Republicans in blue states
3) Voters who don't want to be hassled by mailings, phone calls, people knocking on their
door asking them to volunteer for the party, etc.
4) True independents

How is that going to win over the independents who voted Trump?
How is that going to win over the independents who may have voted Clinton, but have seen 4 years of a strong economy, and little or no messy international conflict stuff?

I interpret this as If the wall is being built President Trump is a
stone cold LOCK in 2020.

Some games were held outside of Seattle, but we played ours at the old building. I'd love to say "I've been to Seattle " but it was a bus ride to Portland from Sacramento, then a train ride to Seattle which was awesome. Great scenery in February / early March.
We were only there for three days and mostly going from the hotel to the rink. Can't say I Saw any landmarks or anything, sure wish I could have. Seemed nice. Not cold at all when we were there.

The Seattle Center (Mercer) Arena was probably where you played if you were playing against the Breakers or the Thunderbirds. Went to many games there. Built for the World's Fair at the same time as the Seattle Center (KeyArena) Coliseum, it held about 4,000 at capacity.

Starbuck's drip coffee is the most putrid coffee I've ever had. Around here, we've always said that Starbucks is a candy store that pours a little coffee into your sweets. Kind of like McDonalds is a toy store and they throw a burger in the bag along with it.
