Yea, getting tiresome.

Looks like it will be a mad scramble for the lead again if its sloppy in the Belmont.

Weather Underground says dry all week then "occasional rain showers" Saturday, chance of rain hovers below 40% most of Belmont day, rising to 60% well after the race, so hopefully something other than a slop romp even if things get a bit damp.

I forced it on Preakness day to the detriment of my bankroll and I'm going to Belmont for the first time so I really don't want this to wind up a day off the turf with four-horse fields. Definitely getting tiresome.

That said, what do we make of Belmont tracks seasoned with fresh showers? Changes any short term track bias accumulated through Friday if nothing else, I suppose.

The good news is that the days leading up to Saturday are positive. Unlike the Preakness where it rained for days beforehand and by post time Saturday the conditions were at biblical proportions.

Does anyone remember the last time it rained for all three legs of the triple crown?

If the focast worsens, I'm going to sit the Belmont out.

I regret not canceling my Derby bets. I only spent $15 on the Preakness, so I basically sat it out.

Johnny V said Vino Rosso didn't handle the track on derby day, so if it's sloppy, he's a toss. I guess this moves Bravazo back up, my new theory is that he's an Exagerator type on slop. Restoring hope didn't seem to like the track on Derby day, so there goes that. Noble Indy did ok. Tenfold's ok with it, as is Hofburg.

Meh.

I felt the same way. I'm already skittish enough about CD, the elements beyond that proved to me it was a total crapshoot (at least for me).

Here's to hoping it is dry with scattered clouds and minimal rain or drops, if it does get overcast and threaten.

me, four.

Like someone else said, wish I had cancelled my derby wagers and didn't.

Playing off tracks unless I have a high possible maiden at high odds w/killler mud pedigree, I just pass slop races normally.

Lately, seems to be two track conditions - wet and wetter.

It's a rainy night in Georgia,
A rainy night in Georgia,
I believe it's raining all over the world.

A) The weatherman handicapping weather.

B) All of us handicapping horses.
