I thought they brought in a new system where the loading area is a little tighter, allowing more space away from the rail. Or something to that effect.

Jace's Road should be 50-1, I have no idea how he can be so low.

Of course this is just opinion but how I do it . You kind of have to handicap the race yourself and establish what a fair price is . Last year was an anomaly, in recent derbies I think you have to focus on 4 prep races first . The Florida Derby, the Santa Anita Derby , the Arkansas Derby and the Louisiana Derby . Chances are the winner and/or runner up ran very well in these races . So, right off the bat at the odds posted now you gotta look at Angel of Empire and Kingsbarns. If Angel if Empire is 8-1 or more , he’s almost a must use on tickets IMO . He’s run big on two circuits this spring and the last two weren’t close with an imposing late kick . For Kingsbarns you gotta hope for 12-1 or more . He’s sort of an unknown and untested but jumping through the conditions like that is not a deal breaker anymore . Of course Forte is the obvious one, you know his odds . So, out west, I am looking at Practical Move and Skinner as a possible live long shot . So, there’s 4 horses, Angel of Empire , Kingsbarns , Practical Move and Skinner that you’re looking for a fair price that doesn’t wander down much . You want the world to jump on Forte . Cause if he doesn’t get up and this race is open chances are one of these 4 will be the one. I know , some years this is out the window , it’s a crazy race but you have to apply some logic just to get a handle . Or just ask your girlfriend or wife which pretty horse she likes or name or number cause sometimes that works too

If I was Cox I would scratch and let Cyclone into the race.

I put Jace's Road at over 100/1

Hope that makes sense Robert

Thanks guys.

Was pretty sure to trust my memory there (that a change had been made).

I think both of your points may be correct. (didn't they do away with the 'gap' as well?)

whatever the case, the isn't quite as bad as it used to be. Still potentially a tight situation.

Yea, that's an odd mistake.
