Traver's...2019
What no talk yet...anyways....will hard luck "Tacitus" finally get there again...working with blinkers ON I hear and doing much better...he's surely going to get over-bet...although if he wins...does that matter...???
Personally a couple of the new shooter's to THE stakes season for 3yr. olds look promising....now I'm NOT saying an "Arrogate" type...but they might have some potential...what say you...

Haven't had the chance to look at this one yet; Tacitus is a decent choice for the ML (maybe a no-brainer), but I'm inclined to look elsewhere with the way most of this crop has taken turns beating each other.

trying to rally health to handicap the race
at a glance looks interesting maybe 4-6 contenders and a long shot or two
mucho gusto stands out as having both tactical speed and the closest thing this field has flashed to 'brillinace', i don't fully trust
tacitus is extremely good but also very obvious and will take money, forcing some creativity

I'm not at all excited with this field. I don't see any true tosses or standouts therefore will put most focus in the nice undercard. Code of Honor could be a nice fresh horse but the pace looks ho hum to offer a good setup for a closer. A 4-1 ML is only moderately enticing given the potential pace scenario. Just about anything could fill the gimmicks so I'll lean toward horizontal versus vertical plays with this race.

Tax or Mucho Gusto, assuming there's no closer bias. On paper, the race lacks a significant pace presence.

Look at the winning odds the last 4 or 5 editions and favorites hae not done well on top

Agreed - a slight improvement puts several of the newer shooters right in the mix.
I'm a bit intrigued by Chess Chief. Gets Mike Smith? Hmmm....

Baffert show up with the top fig horse. Duh.
Dances every dance, but so did Ginger Rogers. Needs to step it up a bit and git R done
Improving form, good stretch punch, should pass the rest
Shug and Johnny V make his a shot, but so far, not all the impressive, but neither is anything else in here.

Looking at the race, my eyes tell me the obvious ones, Owendale, Code of Honour, Mucho Gusto, Tax, and Tacticus. I was also intrigued by the Endorsed. So I ran it through my computer and got a big surprise. I double checked everything and had no entry mistakes. So I going to play this race lightly and key on the Everfast.

I didn't see any Grade 1 winners in here, unless I overlooked one, so I'll look at the next tier, the Grade 2 winners:
Code of Honor
Tacitus
Tax
I'll go with Code of Honor for the win.
As far as the non-graded stakes winners are concerned, I believe Highest Honors has an outside chance.

Can someone tell me what the Travers has to do with the Triple Crown? Move this to General Racing where more people will see it

You can eliminate every horse in here from winning a Triple Crown race next year, only about 19,547 more eliminations, and I will have a winner.

Baffert
Mucho Gusto
Ran lights out to finish second to the best 3yo in the country.
Beat him to win.

At a 1-1/4 mile, Mucho Gusto will not last. Castellano on Looking At Bikinis, will force MG to a more quicker pace, not allowing a crawling first/second quarter. You then have Tax in position to press if need be, while sitting in a comfortable catbird seat, pouncing on the top 2 and taking it home for the win.
Travers Winner-- TAX
