Following the PA Steward posting obvious off-topic material in this section, I have deactivated all my social media accounts, never to return.

I played A LOT of Gallop Racer back in the day, in-fact, I brought out the 2001 version of GR and played with it earlier this year. Those were good games with so much potential to become far greater with the newer gaming systems now.

It wasn't meant to be complimentary

My 16 YO nephew plays Fortnight (or whatever it's called) all the time with his friends, camped in front of a big screen in one of those bungee chairs, headset on, completely oblivious to everything else going on around him. Overhearing his comments about the weapons and tactics (AR ammo, Trump guns?) makes it clear that virtual shooting and live real gun shooting will be around a while longer as acceptable hobbies.
Damn glad I never caught the gaming bug. Gave me more time to squander on the ponies, which of course is far healthier....

What other games do you play? I'm waiting for the new Call Of Duty and may also start playing new WoW expansion.

elysiantraveller turned me onto World of Warships...or were you referring to World of Warcraft lol
I used to team with this bunch of guys I met online through another game (Clash Royale believe it or not), but that kinda of petered out, so I'd be willing to try basically any multiplayer game...I like FPS but I'm also liking World of Warships which isn't exactly a FPS...

My UT 2004 character's name (and on a bunch of other games too) was Tale_of_Ekati.
I still play Half Life 2 and re-run through first 3 COD games every once in a while. And single player Unreal Tournament 2004. But I pretty much stopped playing when my kids were born. FPS were always my thing though. I bet I've missed some good ones between now and COD Modern Warefare ten years ago.

What is PUBG?
I'm with you PA in terms of first generation video games. I think we are of similar vintage (I'm 49). Mainly Intellivision which had a horse racing game. In high school we played a lot of Nintendo esp RBI Baseball. Nowadays, I only play NHL on my kid's XBox. If they had a good horseracing game I would definitely play it (and maybe my kid would get into the game!).
McKinsey should have come up with that suggestion- forget seeing live racing- its the video games that will attract the next generation. Horse racing needs a really good video game on all platforms!
