OK, rules
-You get $100 per race, in the event of a two-race weekend, you can split the $200 among both races.
-In the event of a scratch, you can change your bet or get the money to use in the next contest weekend.
-Regular maintenance: If anyone uses this board to launch a personal affront, that person is subject to disqualification from the contest and/or a complete block from this forum.
-Most of all, have fun. This is a fun contest, let's keep it that way.

Do we need to add a posting time deadline rule? For example, do all picks need to be posted by 12 midnight the day before? Or did I miss something?

The only deadline is that all bets must be in by post time.

No. There will always be individual threads specific to each race where you can post your picks.

Bubbles:
If I understand the rules correctly those of us who had all our money tied up on the 4 or 6 horse in the ST Vincente now have an extra hundred to wager next week. Is that correct?

I'm looking through all the scratches later today. There were 2 in the Risen Star as well, I'll post updating the scenarios in play.

Bubbles, what rule are you breaking if you get bounced? Miss a weekend?

Just 2 quick things.
I know BIG RED just posted the same question, but I couldnt find the answer.
What happens if someone misses a week? I missed last weeks, thought it was over
When is the Derby thread going to be opened? I leave for KY tomorrow

Not a problem. The Derby's the last race in the contest, so it's just like if someone misses any other race in the contest.
Also, the Derby thread will be open tonight, and a leaderboard for the contest heading into the Run for the Roses will be up either tonight or tomorrow.
