Baffert Cleared. LOL He did not inject Medina Spirit. Does it matter?

Does it matter? And is anyone surprised that he got the result he wanted?

Now that this is over, can we get on with DQ'ing Medina Spirit?

The Baffert Camp believes they clear and the positive is void.

If they let the result stand, this game has zero credibility.
The freaking horse was drugged. End of story.
Baffert should still be banned from Derby.

I don't know about that one Tom, one would think if he was banned with proof, another words "plausible" in his response to officials. Admittedly I am not that good for opinion on the subject.

how accurate is the statement that the drug in the ointment is not a banned substance, at least that is what i think he is saying.

I've read this three times and still can't figure out what you're saying.

Injection or ointment...doesn't matter.

The horse wasn't "drugged" but once again Baffert has shown he thinks he's above reproach. Horse should be dq'd but won't

Sorry, I just think many people have access to these horses and if Baffert's response to officials was not plausible he would be gone right? Maybe I use the KISS way too much to be comfortable for some.

The language in KHRC rules on how the beta is administered are very broad. Once the drug is found in the horse's body, it should be a done deal. Betamethasone listed under class c medication violations doesn't differentiate between types of beta nor would it make sense to do so as they would all contain the active ingredient which acts as an anti-inflammatory or painkiller and KHRC doesn't want it in the horse's system on race day.
