Fried chicken is serious shit in Memphis. Frayser is a Memphis neighborhood. There were 10 active warrants out in that county for one of the shooters. No wonder Memphis is one of the country's most dangerous cities. We should cede Memphis to Mississippi. It has always been the de facto capital of the Delta.

Texas is famous for sliced beef brisket.

Oklahoma and Arkansas north to Kansas City then east through Memphis for pork ribs.

The Carolinas for pulled pork.

Funny thing... all the time I was stationed in NC, I never tasted "Carolina" sauce. First time I ever tasted the vinegar-based stuff was here in Reno at...
