Almost done with the commissioned project. When I do, I will hop on Handifast ver 13 and try and get it done a fast as I can.

Thanks for the update Handiman. We understand that commissioned work always comes first. Happy Thanksgiving.

Correlation, Regression Testing and Factor Scaling
Hi,
I am new to the site and am seeking advice on how to go about performing correlation. regression testing and factor scaling/weighing on the factors available in Handifast.
Is it best to separate the data based on track, surface and specific race distance or is it good enough just to filter the data based on track, surface and then filter for sprint distances and then route distances?
Do you have to normalize the data first or just use it in it's raw state?
I am kind of looking for an outline of the steps needed to be taken to perform the functions mentioned above.
I do have Microsoft Excel and was able to generate a .CSV file using the Handi Batch Processor.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

The more you can drill down the better. So if you have the data and can break it out into the tracks, surfaces and distances and type of races you will be far ahead. It all depends on your data and how big a sample of the different things I just mentioned you have. You just have to play around with it. The one guy who could really answer the question for you got banned from the site for acting like a Jackass. Just have to do some research.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for replying Handiman!
I have read through the complete thread and found it very interesting.
I hope you are doing well and have a Happy New Year!
I will definitely have to do some research.
Handifast is a nice program and looks like it has great potential!

Hi Wayne.
Unfortunately there was very little activity in there by users and so it has died on the vine. I was very disappointed, but it is what it is I guess.

Hi Handi. Haven't heard from you in a little while. Hope you're doing well.
How's the progress on the newest version of Handifast coming along?

I've been sick. Having some serious health issues again. So haven't been coding. Not sure I will be able to return or not.
