A More Recent Study on Masks

Oxford Professor: Official Data Shows Face Masks “Made No Meaningful Difference” to Infection Rates

Face coverings “unlikely to have much of an impact” in fighting Omicron.

Interesting study between England and Scotland. The former dropped its mask mandate, while the latter did not; yet there was no meaningful statistical difference in the infection rates between the two countries.

According to Naismith, Director of the Rosalind Franklin Institute and Professor of Structural Biology at the University of Oxford, masks are largely pointless.

The average cloth mask most people use are generally filthy. As one breathes, bacteria and other germs (and covid) are trapped in the material. The harder one breathes, the more filth is collected. After several hours (unless washed often) the subject grabs the collection of filth and now has it on their hands. From there its anyone's guess where it goes.
Plastic mask with canisters that can be changed out are expensive to maintain, but the only one that's truly safe, short of an oxygen pack.
The government knows mask are no good and actually harmful, but since they hate the general public and don't care, they demand it Same goes for lockdowns. What they'd really enjoy most are concentration camps with individual brick cells. Tiny brick cells!!

From the very beginning, mask mandates were designed to condition us to accept being controlled. Evidently, more than a few people like living under authoritarian rule. I'd venture to say a large percentage of the Chinese people are committed communists and love that life, whereas the rest of the population rejects it. The former have been thoroughly conditioned (brainwashed, propagandized, etc.)

Cotton masks are worn in surgery settings to stop the spread of bacterial infections. If you look at the size of micro-organisms, bacteria are large enough that they get caught inside of the cotton fiber weave. The smallest diameter you can physically achieve with a cotton fiber surgical mask is about 10,000 nano-meters. The particles size of a covid molecule is roughly 100-125 nano meters. Just do the math. If you want to kowtow to authoritarian mandates that’s on you.

If humans needed a masks, we would be born with it. Our natural first line of defense is our mucous membranes. Our nose, eyes and throat are the first to come into contact with the virus. Production of Iga and Igg will provide antibodies to fight the virus at the first place of battle (nose, eyes, throat). Providing the body with vitamin A from animal sources (retinol) is much better than wearing a dumb cotton mask. Eating beef liver will likely keep you and your family safe.

I think it's' pretty clear that high quality mask like N95 (and the Chinese version) probably reduce viral load and maybe even infection if used properly and changed fairly regularly.

My view is that let's say that on any given exposure they reduce your chances of infection by 50%, if you keep doing the same things you'll eventually get infected anyway. That's why short term studies will show they block some virus and reduce viral load and long term studies seem to indicate they don't help much. It's because the masks probably did help a few times, but eventually people got infected anyway. So unless you also change your behavior, eventually you'll get it anyway.

Exactly! The math doesn't work out in favor of the mask wearer. I have long maintained that N-95 or even better masks would be the only way to go -- but even then those masks MUST be fitted properly.

Sloppy science. For starters, you would have to determine the impact of the change of rules on the mask wearing habits of the populations. How many in England stopped wearing masks after the rule change? How many in Scotland also stopped? How many in each country were or were not wearing masks before the change? And how much time passed between the change in rules and the "conclusion". You would also have to examine the life styles of the populations in the two countries to see if other factors might affect infection rates. Etc., etc.

In other words, you're basically saying there is no way realistically to know.

However, speaking for myself and my wife, I can say that we went through this whole scamdemic (save for the first couple of months) unmasked, since our "masks" were made out of pet screening. Our masks were strictly for show and compliance purposes only (which was superficial at best) and offered zero protection. What we discovered is that the vast majority of infected people we know were far more compliant with the letter and spirit of masks mandates than we ever were -- yet, to date my wife and I have gone through this scamdemic unscathed. And when I say the "vast majority", I'm thinking along the lines of about 90%.

Granted, you could also say this proves nothing since a lot more data would have to be collected on us and the infected people, such as our socializing habits for starters. Diets and general overall health would certainly factor into the outcomes. Or what we all did or did not do to consciously to strengthen our immune systems. The list could go on and on. Heck...I haven't even touched on the spiritual aspects of people's lives and the transcendent sovereignty of God in all this.

Maybe ignorance is blissful. Or maybe it's just a big crap shoot.

Of course there is a way to know. You need to take two controlled groups, all of whom are known to be using masks. Those in one group stay on masks, those in the other group stop using them. After a sufficient time, you see if the incidence of infection is statistically different between the two groups.

The key is to use scientifically gathered before and after data, not to rely on reports in the public press.

But...you need to know an awful lot of data about both groups. This suggests that they could never compare apples to apples, strictly speaking. (For example, what if one group, was appreciably in better health overall than the other? Or one group ate better (healthier) than the other?) Likewise, neither could my my wife and I could compare ourselves on multiple levels to everyone we know who came down with covid.

We are spending millions and millions on such things now. Might as well make some use of it.

Yeah..."millions and millions" and taxpayer money. Meanwhile, God-given common sense is free but so many fools reject their gift.
