In the interim, I’m leaning toward keying the with the , , , andfor vertical play.
My final betting choices and type of bet will be based on how the live betting shapes up.

5 looks a lil faster. but there are a few that can improve and are improving in here.

x through the 489........1/2 look slower but both could step it up at decent odds

Just a little something else to consider- the idea is to peak on that first Saturday in May, not in the final prep race. Why would Yakteen tell Vasquez to push Practical Move to win ? Of the others, who's close enough already that that a win or second could get them into that race ? I'd focus on those.

Hard to look past the not making up the Exacta and likely the Trifecta.

Practical Move progresses, and he could well walk. Thinking it should be a fairly contested race though as Geaux Rocket Ride is just in his third start and National Treasure has bettered him before while Skinner is on the improve as the distances increase. Maybe if one can get 5/1 or better on the it could be worth a play.

Probably just one to watch, and may throw a couple nickels at the I Don't Get It.

This race appears to be only about the If the Japanese horse beats me he beats me. Nothing else is appealing at all. So my bet for the super is to box those four and then key over those three several times. I will also play a straight ticket $20 ticket and

Scratch Geaux Rocket Ride, leaving only in the viable tier. This race went from uninteresting to nearly unplayable compared with other fare today.

Scratch helps the One in Vermillion, who wants the lead. The National Treasure is faster and way better, but doesn't need the lead.

Unplayable and may follow them on the pace, or maybe try to send.

I'll latch on to the theory that others need this race much more than Practical Move, who has already secured a spot in the Kentucky Derby. He may even have a minor pace disadvantage.

The will run in there somewhere, maybe save some ground.

Not a huge pace for Skinner to run into, but also not much traffic, and he needs the race as much as . He closed against the bias in the San Felipe, and should be wheeling into prime form for Shirreffs third off the layoff.

I like the to keep with the pace and fire at will for the finish. He's arguably got a class edge over the field in four races, two of them G1 affairs, including a solid third in the BC Juvie. He disappointed in the Sham last out, but he's had some rest. Distance is a legitimate question, so I'm not backing up the truck here.

Hard to imagine out of the exacta, but that's the only way this race gets interesting. No value in a ++ trifecta box. Give me to win and maybe a + exacta box.

Won't make the Derby field with just 40 points though, and keeps the Skinner out of the Derby as well.

Hard to believe there wasn't an inquiry with such a close finish.

Congrats to Victor Espinoza on his efforts aboard Skinner; 3-horse photo finish & 2 jocks are laying down on their mounts--all out--while Espinoza is standing up in irons 3 strides before wire. Guess he wasn't interested in his mount getting enough Derby points to go to CD...

Did what he was supposed to do. It was a 'prep' race and he wasn't fully cranked. Needed the conditioning more than anything, and when headed still held them off in a solid time.

He is a serious contender. Likely 2nd or 3rd favorite.

I believe Skinner had 5 points prior and 45 is a 4 way tie for like 18-21 on the list, depending on the tie breakers which I think will be the graded earnings, Those I don't have at this time.
