ODDS BASED ON PROJECTED SPEED FIGURE

Does anybody here knows how to create an odds line based on projected speed figure for each horse in a race?

I think Barry Meadows had created an odds line based on this?

Something like this is going to be proven completely useless for practical applications.

Besides this it is relatively easy to create a probability distribution based in any numerical figure.

The starting point will be the following formula:

P(i) = exp(Fig(i)) / ( Sum ( exp(Fig(j)) ) )

of course you probably will need some normalization of your figures (like for example to subtract the lower from all the others or something else more sophisticated)

Again this is a completely useless process for betting...

cj has an excel sheet at pacefigures.com under the tools menu that might do what you want.
