Have 2 friends fighting for their life now in the hospital with it. They both had the vaccines and had the 2 boosters.

You are so right.
For some of them, their belief system is cult like. They refuse to accept any information that conflicts with their present view. But some of them are so wildly uninformed because of the bubble they live in they are totally unaware of what's happening in the real world.
