BELMONT RACE 9 DELAY

Holy Smokes... An incredibly long delay to post the official prices (no inquiry) but race remained unofficial due to "technical delay"... then they changed the posted results declaring a DH for 3rd place. I guess there was a steward who wouldn't agree to the initial posted results. It kinds reminds me of a hung jury scenario.

Has anyone else witnessed something similar in the past...a first for me after 50 years watching.

The only thing I've seen like it was at Delta Downs in December last year where a dead heat for the win was posted on the board and announced, but several minutes later and before it went official it was changed to a straight win. According to this tweet a steward stepped in to overrule the placing judges.

Very strange - the chart from Thursday says there was a malfunction with the photo finish camera in the 8th race. Is this 2 days in a row possibly where it's been messed up late in the day? Nothing mentioned in today's 9th race chart, but it's the only photo finish missing on NYRA's website so it's certainly a suspect situation.



Not to mention another day of malfunctioning teletimers, really embarrassing everyday with these tech issues.
