I knew knitting and watching porn at the same time could be dangerous...

Well I sit here and complain about these games they play at Parx and elswehere. But what did I do today because I was bored? Play Parx!!! Pick 5 attempt bc it has a big pool. But couldnt find the 30-1 horse in the second leg I think it was. I need a new hobby too, maybe I will take up knitting. I lack such discipline and waste 300-400 bucks a day playing tracks I know I shouldnt be playing. I just enjoy trying to beat the game. I know some say you can but how?
Im sure most of you guys here have much more knowledge and experience than I do with this game so any words of wisdom will help. Do you guys play Finger Lakes, Parx, Thistledowns, Fair Meadows or is that just throwing your money away?

Tough question buddy....
To each their own ....
I personally look to beat the favorite.....
I have a few rules but my main one is seeing if the horse has a chance to bounce off a win/big effort.....its there in the PP's...
And theres players/whales that will bet the favorite...
like I said....its how YOU want to play the game...

Love of horses
SUFF,
Has provided MANY photos from various racetracks across the United States ( so obviously he loves/enjoys horse racing), SOME of his photos especially from GULFSTREAM PARK have focused on the "backside " of ACACIA COURTNEY, I meant to say the BACKSIDE of GULFSTREAM PARK. My final conclusion based on his photo's he is also PRO porn.

The biggest games I see played are with the maiden claiming races at a major track.Im not saying this or other things never happen at Parx, but its way overblown based on prior reputation and not reality.

I look thru the entries daily spec. for Maiden Clm and Turf. According to my records I do much better with Turf. But, who knows, that may change in a NY minute.
Tough to beat that Fav somedays MaxMillion.

Look who's involved in another objection aboard a longshot winner....Luis Rivera again....Waiting for stewards....No Change as usual.
EDIT- After watching both pan and head-on, there was nothing to report...Frivolous objection.

Sorry draw a line
That one horse was a complete example of stiffing a horse. I didn't play Parx today. I guess if you wanna try a line through every start for the last 5 races you could use him. Horse coming screaming from the back to win and trigger a payout of over 600 bucks for a pick 3. I don't even know why they bother with objections at that place. Complete racket.

Im excited to see how race 10 goes at Parx today. Im going watch for fun. Too bad Luis Rivera doesn't have a mount bc the king of cutting off jockeys is in for a mount. Paco Lopez. Those two must have gone to the same jock school.

https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-rac...ng-form-of-epo
the racing media finally has something epo related
this is more along the lines of what trainers and owners are really using. wayyy more than the positives we see, more than the 1-1000 or whatever Servis and Navarro also used
epo and epo-like substances are the dope that trainers use so that their horses don't get tired like the other horses. It's like a super-milkshake.
It works great on closers, but their best way is to use it on speed horses. Go out on a hot pace and any rivals get tired, and they don't.
extremely widespread. most trainers who win 30% of entered races probably use it. Some trainers use it only with certain owners. Some owners use it, and find any trainer they want to work with.
we apparently don't test for epo and epo-like substances, or we do a half-ass job.
then we look at positives for stuff like corticosteroids, and we count those as the 'dirty' trainers, and the trainers who don't have tested positives can win 30% and move up horses and we call them 'clean'
we don't see the use of epo and epo-like substances, other than watching the races
usually we praise a doped up horse.

I posted this earlier but it's an interesting take on EPO in horses, the Lance Armstrong drug of humans.
https://www.paulickreport.com/news/r...doping-threat/
"The more effective form of testing is still far off. There is ongoing research into the creation of equine biological passports. They look for unusual changes in proteins or other biomarkers in the blood in response to drugs like EPO or anabolic steroids, which produce artificial levels of natural cells.
“Biological passports have been used very successfully in human testing to detect EPO,” said Sams. “It does not work in horses for a number of reasons, one of which is the ability of the horse to store red blood cells in the spleen and the ability to then release them. We don't see a lot of stability in hematocrit and hemoglobin because the horse can release those red blood cells when it's being handled before the blood sample is collected.”

No it's not. How do you handicap races where the horse may or may not be EPO'd when it's undetectable after a race?
