I see no way its possible to make the statement that the 1970's and today is in anyway the same era of racing. Its not apple and oranges but apples to watermelons.

Winx is running in August. Something to look forward to.

Do you think Winx would still be running if the horse was male? Honest question - I'm ignorant to the Australian scene.

Probably not, as Coolmore, the principals buying Justify, have a large breeding operation in Australia, as well as here, Europe, etc. Good thing WINX is a girl. And she really is something we can look all forward to.

to that point zenyatta raced through her 6 year old year, Royal Delta through 5...the long staying stars of american racing are females because their post race value is small compared to their male counterparts.

As well, GMB, neither of these horses was owned by Winstar et al, and being purchased by Coolmore. Certainly, it's a given, stallions are worth far more. They can produce several times in a day what it takes a mare, many months to produce.

Wynn has removed Justify from future BC Classic odds.
guess that pretty much confirms that we'll never see him race again.
