Year-end review For The Play Of the Day

Time to take a look a back and account for 2009. My strengths were based on location. Aqueduct was a goldmine. Saratoga was a complete disaster while Belmont was cosi cosi. Dirt/turf or sprint/route only had marginal differences. Thank god for record keeping, discipline, confidence and MS
excel.

The main thing I learned is that the game can be beat; in fact it can be brutally beaten with the existential handicapping principles discussed in the play of the day posts. In an era of "computer cappers" and outsourcing handicapping to commercial speed figures - having a holistic understanding of the game may be more profitable that ever.

If I've learned anything on this forum (and others) it's that if you're winning:

1) you're barely breaking even but getting a HEFTY rebate

2) you're not betting SYNTHETICS

3) which means, you're NOT betting Woodbine

Good to hear, otherwise.

If you believe those are the correct amounts, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
