6 trading days left for election
i was waiting for the stimulus to come in before i went all in to go short the S+P and everything else. these markets are all primed for a fast and furious 15-20% haircut.. i was thinking that the stimulus would trigger the big downtrend, maybe because its probably the last does of oxygen that could ignite things..
much to my dismay, i think the corona will be here for many years to come.. lately the death rate has come way down, that's the good news. the bad news is that the hospitals are filling up fast and will be out of room shortly.
i had to go into downtown Boston last week. the place is a ghost town like many other cities i presume.. for my whole life the streets were very vibrant there. you don't see any traffic, fanuil hall is empty, the seaport got no people and no cars. big hotels are boarded up, the Rodeo Drive of Boston was Newbery Street, all boarded up. no more art galleries.
we need a renaissance, it will come, but not that soon.

it looks like the dow is going for the September 24th lows...maybe a breather right there on its way to plunge downward... the stimulus might halt the slide for a short time though.

Maybe it's dawned on Wall Street that Biden is toast and the 4 years of spending orgy that they were banking on will not be forthcoming, other than one more round of Covid stimulus relief.

Or maybe they'll crash the market in the days leading up to the election.
Wall Street isn't beyond getting into the business of cucking...

a friend of mines kid had the corona, he was in the hospital for a month.. he walked out with his lungs all shredded up and could hardly breath. this sucker is vicious to some people once it gets in the lungs..
the numbers they quote you don't separate the bad cases from the easy cases..

HHHHmmmm....if one ONLY knew the INSIDE scoop....Squeeze play coming???
Will the rePUKES cave to dRATS before THE election....now THAT supreme court is done...quid pro quo maybe....
If the want to save a FEW seats....they will HAVE too..and THIS pig of a market WILL FLY again....they might waited have a bit TOO long for political gain..tho
if not...down it GOES....and then why bother with stimulus after election...unless you're sticking TO principles....
Again...will repeat...need more stimulus for this market to go back up....cause EVERYTHING ELSE is very negative for 60-80% of the population...

markets still got some good room to fall, be careful if they put the emergency stimulus money in soon.. the stimulus would only be a very temporary breather before the markets really lets go.

Last election the markets were positive before the election seemingly knowing that Trump was the winner. This week it appears like the possiblity of a Harris-Biden win is being priced in already. All CNBC talks about is the pandemic affecting the market.

watched Mid Day Report yesterday
everyone on the show was touting Twitter, one guy says its a must own, another one says to buy the call options.
the stock went up about 5% while the show was on, today the stock opens down 17%.
ain't that the way it works every single time!

crazy
who would have ever thunk that the company ZOOM would have the same market cap as EXON MOBIL. sick i know, and to me it looks like XOM is going a lot lower.....XOM is a very tough stock to short long term because they are paying a crazy high dividend and they pay it by losing market cap.
