You do realize our founding fathers John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, and Trump's favorite president Andrew Jackson pushed for and urged Congress to do exactly the same thing with expanding the Supreme Court...which they did with Judiciary Acts

Yeah, and since day one, SC nominees were always pushed ahead no matter if the potus was in his last year.

And then, the nation was still young and growing, so there' that. 9 has been a god number for rather long time - what compelling reason is there to increase it now? Other than dems getting tired of the nasty old constitution getting in their way.
