Saratoga Photos , Whitney Week 2021.

All pictures within a mile of the track. I walked it, only took 2 Ubers. Saratoga Springs is a classic. I like it.

Google, The Casino Mary Lou Whitney, this is the building they're talking about.

Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

I took in the event. Two anomalies this year were that it was held at the Fasig Tipton Sales Pavilion, and it combined Mark Casse's 2020 induction with Todd Pletcher's 2021 induction.

TOM DURKIN was master of ceremonies.

Ironic joke told by Casse during his speech. He asked his daughter if she thought he'd win another Canadien championship in 2013 and she replied "probably, because Todd Pletcher doesn't race in Canada!

The irony that I thought of was due to combining the 2020 and 2021 ceremony, Pletcher closed for the win! He was the closing act and show stealer.

So good.

I'm very pleased that I went. I have more pictures of the dirty.

My room at the Brentwood.

I'd say it's close. This is out my room door, that's the Chute and starting gate in the background.

I'm posting more later this week.
If you feel compelled to post in the picture thread,
Do not quote my picture posts please. It results in people looking at the same pictures.

Be neat, be clean, hit reply, not quote. Thanks.

Whitney week was the one I was planning to attend, but sometimes life gets in the way. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Thanks for sharing Suff. It was an incredible week. Looking over the paddock late in the afternoon Sunday I was just thinking what a privilege to be there. Just terrific.

I assumed. Still I held 2 seats for you hoping to play a few races together. I sent you a souvenir Saratoga cork screw. Lmk you find it.

I walked my ass off I walked full circles around the track night and day. I slept 1 am to 5am only.

It's not 5 points deli any longer. It's some fancy bistro now. Closes at 4pm! Likely they don't want to deal with the drunks leaving the track , so only open 8 am to 4pm.

The stage that Harvey Pack built.... I went by and had a thought for Harvey

I'm all about it. Flight up delayed, my flight back canceled, by email and a 300 minute wait to speak to someone at jet blue😆.

I said f'k it, I checked into the Community Court, stayed the night and solved the travel problem with online chat in about 30 minutes.

That's the back of the holiday inn and the back of community court. To my immediate left are these stairs into congress park. I strolled around until 2 o'clock Monday.

I'm Grateful. Saratoga is special.

Five Points Market

I noticed in one of the pics was Five Points Market. Didn’t they permanently close last year ? There are definitely articles online that confirmed this. Glad to see they were able to stay open ?
