Downs after Dark

I was at CD last weekend to see a horse I owned a piece in run. It was cool to be in the paddock where the all time greats once were saddled. I walked through the tunnel and watched the race from the entrance there. Gabby Gaudet, Caton Bredar, Donna Brothers were there w/TVG. After the race I saw Vic Stauffer and introduced myself; he couldn't have been nicer.

Its really odd how you can't buy the racing form at CD. I was staying downtown and was using the business center at the hotel and the DRF website was blocked I was trying to get the pps for Sundays races-they weren't online at the DRF website when I left for Louisville on Thursday. I went to the front desk and said to the employee "this is the home of the KY Derby and DRF website is blocked-unbelievable." I couldn't get a Sunday program on Saturday from the track. I ended up emailing the pps to the employee there and they printed them for me-they were very helpful.

Why do I follow this game again? It seems like they go out of their way to block their customers from participating in the sport.

After all that, I still recommend going to CD-its very cool! I have been about 5-6x

I hardly ever bet CD, but Saturday as a great night.
I understand Thursday they run at night? If so, count me in.
Night racing leaves afternoons in the gate.

As far as the From goes, two corporate scumbags who do not give a crap about the players or the game - only the bottom line. A pox on DRF and CD people.

CD has gone exclusively to Brisnet, in order to get the form you must find a store around town that carry the form as there is nothing from DRF at CD.
Thursdays are called Twilight Thursday as the first post is 5pm.

Someone please correct if wrong but the beef between CD and DRF has to do with the DRFBets ADW site. Churchill will not negotiate what DRF feels is a fair signal fee. DRF will not sell their product on track.

It's a dilemma for the horseplayers in Louisville, like myself, not only because of the inconvenience of not being able to purchase the from on track but trying to find a place within the city that sells them can be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Can't get one at Arlington or at an AP OTB in Illinois, either.

I've heard this works well now after being abandoned for a while.

That was a great tool when it was kept up to date. Haven't used it in years though, mainly because I had hit up a lot of Louisville locations that supposedly sold the form to only find out they either no longer sold them or only sold the DRF "program."

This isn't correct, it isn't that DRF won't sell the paper on track, it is that Churchill Downs won't allow DRF to sell the paper on track.

Here is a list of places that carry the DRF in the area:
