For all you Boomer and Carton fans out there -- SEAT OPEN!

https://patch.com/new-jersey/marlbor...campaign=alert

Don't know if the CBS cable channel goes beyond New York, but in the NY Metro area, all sports fans know WFAN and Craig Carton.

excerpt:

Craig Carton, 48, and Michael Wright, 41, of Upper Saddle River were arrested Wednesday morning and charged with one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and wire fraud, one count of wire fraud and one count of securities fraud.

Carton, Wright and an unidentified person worked together to defraud investors into providing millions of dollars that would be used to purchase blocks of tickets to concerts, authorities say. The tickets would then be re-sold on the secondary market, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office of New York's Southern District.

Carton and Wright, however, deceived investors and raised millions of dollars through misrepresentation and "outright lies," Acting Manhattan U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim said in the release.

"Their schemes were allegedly propped up by phony contracts with two companies to purchase blocks of concert tickets, when in fact, Carton and Wright had no deals to purchase any tickets at all," Kim said. "As alleged, behind all the talk, the Wright and Carson show was just a sham, designed to fleece investors out of millions ultimately to be spent on payments to casinos and to pay off other personal debt.”

Chris Christie is quite worthy of the Carton seat with Boomer, you know.

Christie is a big sports fan and his political career has been one big ponzi scheme in its own right.

The show is broadcast on CBS Sports Channel on Direct TV. Carlton is an obnoxious loudmouth, the type who thinks he's always the coolest guy in the room.I'm willing to bet Boomer Esiason is relieved, the handful of times I watched the show he seemed visibly irritated at Carlton's antics. No great loss.

When I was at the track on a daily basis, those types were always the biggest losers of the lot. One of which was a guy that was one of the figures on the latest 30 for 30 (What Carter lost). Not saying who it was, but he's fairly well known (no, not Randy Galloway...the logical guess). The guy lost over 200k in a two year period early in Lone Star's existance according to others closer to him than myself. He was loud on occasion, foul mouthed, and "better than you".

I know only a few guys that have won money over the years at LS, they're all even keeled at the track. Finding that Carton is a loser of epic proportions doesn't surpise me at all
