CRIME COMPLAINTS? Really? These guys all live on the North Shore in Kenilworth, or Winnetka, or Lake Forest. They work in high rises in the Loop or on the Gold Coast. The only contact they have with crime is on the six o’clock news.

Good to see you don't give a shit about those who, unfortunately, CAN'T ESCAPE the crime.

Al Capone, either directly or indirectly, murdered around 200 people, including the notorious St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Please tell me how many people these hedge fund managers have murdered. Not the morality I'd be in favor of.

Guess you don’t care about the 75,000 students and their families that received high speed Internet thru Chicago Connected which he founded and funds. Or how about the state of the art emergency center he gave the money for at Luries Childrens Hospital? He also Donated money to construct urban soccer fields on the south and west sides of Chicago. He donated well over $600 million to help improve the city of Chicago. Only an idiot or someone who doesn’t give a crap about Illinois, would be happy that a man like this is leaving the state.

Chicago Connected was started by the City of Chicago. Griffin may have contributed, but so did many other Chicago and Illinois businesses, community groups and Philanthropic organizations.
He’s worth $25 B. He can afford to fund a few soccer fields.
Actually he spent about $3,000,000 on those soccer fields. They weren’t even full sized. They are described as mini soccer fields.
Please provide documentation for the $600,000,000 he donated to improve the City of Chicago.
He did make significant contributions to the University of Chicago Department of Economics and the Museum of Science and Industry. But even $600,000,000 is only 2.5% of his total worth. And, he gets a major tax break for those donations.
Griffin is moving to Miami for one reason, to make more money. $25B isn’t enough.
If he cared about this city and state, he would stay here and pay his fair share of taxes and employee Illinois residents.

Liberals are so freaking clueless.
I have a client who owned a property in Chicago, he was a VERY VERY VERY high ranking guy at Wells Fargo bank, had properties in several cities. He told me last year that he had to sell the Chicago property because the crime was getting out of control, that people where getting mugged right outside his uber upscale condo building. None of this was surprising.
What was surprising was hearing him in the very next sentence go on a rant about Trump being a racist, Trump setting the country back etc.
He also complains about his tax bill every year, even though he is a multimillionaire. The guy is basically the perfect example of someone who is so clueless he shouldn't be allowed to vote.

Musty slamming someone for "only" giving $600 million. Only in Musty's World is a city better off without a benefactor like that.

You are a piece of work, why do Democrats continually try to pretend crime in Chicago isn't a major problem? It seems the Citadel has done a lot for the community. Of course your closed mind doesn't have very expansive thinking when it comes to the bolded. Not everyone working in a high rise for a big company lives in the high rent district and takes a limousine to work. There are plenty of entry level employees commuting in from the low rent district
traveling through high crime areas.
