I didn't vote because I have used both and didn't notice any big difference.

Equibase.... pretty darn worthless... but it is free for xpressbet users.
Bris.. free for twinspires users.. plus free on whobet's pages... I like it more than equibase,
DRF... my fave.. but it is over priced.. I only buy the paper version when I'm at the track.

Can you get the DRF data files free from bris if you bet with Twin Sprirs, or just the PDF files?

DRF is the best by far, yet it seems that they're trying to price themselves out of business. Cost is the main reason why I use Bris.

Only the PDFs, too bad they don't do the same for the .drf files. I suppose they have no trouble selling the .drf files, so why give them away?

If you bet enough through TS,they will deduct 20% from your Bris account so your data files will only cost you 80¢.

Brisnet.

Reasons-

1. I only pay for the track I want unlike the DRF that forces you to pay for articles or tracks I'm not interested in. ( Hard copy DRF )

2. Most software out there uses the single comma deleted files.

3. Bris has free custom pp software so I can make the pps my way saving ink & paper.

4. Speed figures. Bris shows patterns that Beyers in the DRF don't.

5. Bris shows better breeding info when it comes to maiden 1st timers & turf racing.

I use BRIS and it is all about the cost. Free PP's with Twinspires and also free BRIS Ultimate PP"s available from the various trainer and breeder sites available on line. If I could get the same deal from DRF I would use their PP's.

Is that a day or month?

1. DRF doesn't force you to pay extra for articles. If you buy it at the track, sure, but you can buy the tracks you want at DRF just like you can at BRIS.

2. True, but DRF offers a similar product that can be used with software.

3. So does DRF, Formulator, and it is probably superior to the BRIS offering.

4. I'd be curious to hear more on this. Tests I've done in the past showed Beyers to be the better number, but that could have changed.

5. How are BRIS rating better than Tomlinsons? I'm not saying they aren't, but have you actually tested them?

Pretty sure what he means is Bris has the % of first time winners for the Sire and Dam Sire. Also % for off track and % for first time turf and for overall turf.

Also for the Dam has % for 2yo winners and the number of starters and winners the Dam produced and the # of stakes winners
