Illegal horse racing in Texas?

I caught the end of a news story on NBC channel 5 from Dallas that said there were accusations of illegal horse racing in Kaufman County, Texas.

I searched google, but haven't found much. Has anyone heard anything more about this story?

Just found this story: http://www.myfoxdfw.com/story/200684...an-county-raid

I think stuff like this has been going on, especially in states like Texas and Louisiana, ever since one guy said to another, "I bet my horse is faster than yours." On Long Island in the 70's, I was at a "track" where some guys put on some quarter horse races, and betting was done by a Calcutta pool where you essentially "bid" on a horse's chances.

Local tv news in Sacramento had a story recently on illegal races in some valley area. Animal rights concerns on top of the gambling.
They get busted every so often, but it's gone on for many years.
