I liked Colorado. There is much to do and plenty of parks and etc and it was reasonable for rents and etc. People were great!

Take some notes and check out prices and give yourself at least 3 weeks to travel. When I was out there we saw some Mountain sheep and a bear. It was fantastic.

I spent two weeks in MT, ID, WY, ND an SD this summer and there was not a bad spot in the 3,000 miles I traveled. Eastern Idaho, around Rexburg, where you can see the west side of the Tetons, is incredible. And it's only a short drive to Yellowstone NP, the most beautiful place in the US. If you like fly fishing, there is no better place than that area. Whitefish MT, near Glacier National Park, is a wonderful town, and the lake there is gorgeous. I love Wyoming, even the open flat parts of it, but the winters are long and cold. Western South Dakota is special too. When it comes time for me to quit the daily grind, I will make my move West.

speaking of fly fishing,...When I was there we went to the Angel Lake area. The water is sooooooooooo clear that looks are deceiving.

Now,...I know better, but what I thought was a foot turn out to be about 4 feet!

You should have seen me floundering around. But there is nothing like pan sized trout fried over an open flame.

Wyoming has a lot of abandoned mining towns. Some of those streams are loaded. Went up to the Torington area. Burlington Northern still takes "fines" from that area for their tracks. We caught 8 nice ones, about a pound each, on ultra lights. Felt like a whale..Moby Dick himself.

My son, cj, who I am proud of (23 years in the USAF) beyond anything anyone here could imagine was stationed in Wyoming (Cheyenne) and I found the city to be an excellent place to finish out one's life. Everyone was so courteous that I as an east coast guy was surprised by the laid back kindness of the folks I came in contact with.

Nebraska - A little more going on in the Omaha metro area than in S. Dakota. The WX is not as severe as SD either. Low unemployment, good people - but you could say the same thing about the entire plain state region.

Because he has his core values and refuses to compromise. It should be admired today. He has a core set of morals. Whether they be Religious based or whatever. Maryland makes a huge statement about the future by being the only state to approve Gay marriage by vote. Some people see that as a reason to leave. So be it.

This is the mature way to handle it, the way it was intended. The man isn't screaming for the federal government to change to adopt to his views, whether you agree with them or not. He has realized that his ideals differ from what the citizens in his state are gravitating towards and is instead seeking out a state that more closely resembles his ideals. That's how it is supposed to work in this country. Just think of all the lives that could have been saved if people had stopped screaming about how they needed Obamacare or would die tomorrow and instead just got in the @#%ing car and drove to Massachussetts.

I believe a similar scenario is playing out in Virginia as well from what I could imagine, limiting that option as well.

I've lived in NY and PA and PA is much better, and we did elect Corbett and Toomey, both Republicans and Toomey is very conservative. New York of course is tax and spend mess.

before this past election, one of the things that almost everyone was saying was " i don't know anyone that is voting for the president"! we all know how the election has turned out. now following this election we are hearing those same people that didn't know what was going on in front of their own 2 eyes predict how bad things are going to be going forward. i always have a saying that whatever you think about, you bring about, and whatever you focus on grows.
my suggestion would be to find something good, and focus on it instead of being negative on yourself.
