Who remembers....?

Does anyone remember a horse named "Win Man" from Parx (back then Philadelphia Park)? This is when Philly ran 2 mile marathon races a couple of times / month and this horse only ran in these races. I think Jeff Lloyd may have been his main rider. This is when I first started getting into racing and I knew his exercise rider. He would always tell me when he was running and to bet him as well. I would bet him big (Well....I was 18 so big for me was like $40 win).

Wow! Now that was a race horse.

He won 48 times.

Though he only raced 2 miles once, he did win by 21 lengths in that one.

There were 8 wins at 1 1/2 miles or more.

He was

1-for-first-21 lifetime

2-for-first-30 lifetime

and then he ended up winning 46 of his last 148 starts.

His career record takes 2 entire pages of paper to print.

LOL

It was 25 years ago but it seems like he ran just about every other weekend.

I once picked him up at his house in Staten Island for a trip to Aqueduct on New Year's Day. My wife went with me, the late John Martino who posted here was also there. I know there were others from PA, wish I could remember them all. Pretty sure it was back in 2004 shortly before I moved to Belgium. Maybe suff set it up? Fuss?
