Recall Nonstarter Inquiry

Race 1 Hoosier Park November 11th card 1st race. Two horses were not even close to the gate. How is this just skipped over? I had number 8 win place. Luckily for a small amount. I dont understand why this is not even reviewed. Look at the replay for race 1.

I've seen that a lot in harness races, but never that far back!
Looked one the two broke stride, but one way back....

Note to self.....NO HOOSIER!

don't the drivers get notice of start and if they do not make it, it is their fault?

This is a harness question. But yes, under their rules he clearly was a refund.

I’m shocked at least one of the horses didn’t get refunded considering of the two breakers, one of them was outside the fair start pole.

Yes # 8 was the horse far back. I had win place for small $. To be honest I dont see this happen that much. When it does a horse is breaking or every once in a while way outside the the fair start pole. This usually ends up being a recall with the breaking horse or a non starter refund to a horse outside of the fair start.

Actually now that I thought about it. Ive seen horses break at the gate. Sometimes it results in a recall mostly with favorites. Otherwise bye bye $ as your horse is going backwards when the gates release at the start.
