This is a perfect time to start a digital business.
The internet marketing world has gone "course crazy." Everybody wants to build and sell courses, teaching everything from quilting to building websites.
My favorite idea is to teach the teachers how to build courses.
Just like selling shovels in the gold rush days.
Shocked that more people hear haven't considered writing an eBook on handicapping and selling it on Amazon.

Good ideas! That's why I started this thread. It's hard to think of everything!
Also, car detailing. Hardly any startup costs. You can do it in your driveway. Towels, wax, polish, toothbrush, toothpicks, water, bucket, sponge, soap, leather conditioner, etc.
Landscaping is good, too, as someone mentioned. Lawnmower, rake, leaf blower, and maybe a pickup truck.
I've started a basketball academy with a coaching colleague. This winter will be our first season. It's for high school kids who want to play at higher level than their public schools can offer, but the players will still attend their public schools, rather than having to transfer to an expensive private school. I think this model will grow in popularity and become the model for high school sports because so many schools need to cut their budgets. This is how the Europeans do it. European kids don't play for school teams. They play for private academy teams.
I have also started an online classified ad business. Not sure if I am allowed to mention it since I am not an advertiser here, but I'll give you a clue -- the company is called Johnified. It might be a dot com business.
This business has a much longer runway. The basketball academy has to generate revenue by October 1. The dot com will grow much more slowly.
