He Was Right...Again!
For your viewing pleasure. Very endearing and relaxing to watch...
About the nest: The nest is located at Big Bear Lake, California. It is about 145 feet up in a Jeffrey Pine tree. The nest is the current home for Jackie and Shadow, a local bald eagle pair. The chick's name is Spirit.

This photo was taken near Bayard, Nebraska. It is on the corner of our hunting property. We have had the same couple of Eagles there for 3 yrs now.

We have had a couple of proposals to build one within 10 miles of us. Each time it happens, one of us goes to all the meetings and hearings about it and oppose it. Made a couple of people angry, but.....

We have many wind farms here but never near their habitat. They are all out on the plains. We have both the bald and golden eagles here. The golden eagles are huge.

Yep, they are very special to us. The whole place is. A couple of other photos. One is about 250 Geese sitting in the river and a sunset photo of Chimney Rock from the blind.

Some interesting information about eagles. For example: "If you find eagle feathers out in nature, enjoy, appreciate, study, and photograph them, but leave them where you found them. It is illegal to keep eagle feathers or parts without a permit."

That area near Big Bear Lake I used to cut firewood in, beetle infested, down and dead trees. For some reason even back over 40 years ago the trees around the lake weren't hit as bad as surrounding areas. Good to see nothing but green on the live eagle cam, looks better than 40 years ago. From what I hear other areas are much worse. As for wind farms I don't believe those trying to sell it, as someone who took a windmill farm tour, albeit 15 years ago, I doubt the claims that there have been amazing improvements. The maintenance costs due to the braking systems and having to work on something over 200 feet in the air were sky high. At the time by far the costliest form of energy generation, with hydro being the cheapest.

She's beautiful. Very regal looking...a very apropos title.
I've had three German Short-haired Pointers (bird dogs) over the years. All three were named "Prince."

Not to mention the staggering, non-biodegradable waste going to dumps, when they're no longer usable.
