RTN ROKU
Does anyone use the RTN streaming service for live races and replays through a ROKU device? It's $10 a month for harness races and $15 a month for thoroughbred races. I don't like watching a lot of races online, but I have a ROKU. I'm curious how the picture looks.

I have used it recently and the picture was very good. HD streaming for some tracks that do that. Others are in sd. I have ethernet out from my router to my roku and the picture is very stable. Hope this helps.

Thanks Jim. I stream from my router but since I upgraded my router to the Google OnHub AC1900 my streaming has been excellent. I also upgraded to the latest 4k capable ROKU and got a 4k Samsung TV, all which makes for a clearer picture.

Bob,
I have the $275 a year package and have been really happy with it. I also hate watching the online replays and have found this to be a lot better.

I've been using RTN for over a decade. Initially with the RTN satellite package, then switched to the Dishnet version, and for the last 3-4 years I've had the web-based version.
The Dishnet stuff was the best, but the cost was high - almost $130 per month - considering that I had to purchase basic Dish and used it for nothing but racing.
I could watch 5 tracks at once, each on their own TV.
Now I am limited to 3 with the webcast version, but the service has been excellent.
Regards,
Dave Schwartz

I used it a few times but the latency was so bad I cancelled. Delay was between 45-70 seconds on every track I tried despite the fact I had the latest Roku and my router was about 12 feet from the Roku. I called RTN personnel to help troubleshoot it but they couldn't do anything for me.
Obviously with that kind of latency it wasn't of any use to me though the HD feeds were nice.

Lag was bad for me too, usually a minute behind the web feed. Picture quality was great.
Its best probably for those who dont bed last second.
